Community matters most. Let’s keep our promises!

I’m Nikki Hinkle.

Mother. Former Educator. Community Volunteer.

I’m running for office so we can get back to basics.

In 2009, our Anderson Mill Limited District entered into an agreement with the City of Austin. Since then, we’ve strayed from the rules outlined in it. I want our AMLD to realign with our original agreement for the betterment of our community, our services, and our neighbors.

Nikki’s top priorities for ALMD Place 2

Increase Our Communications

Keep Our Promises

AMLD needs to reflect on how they listen to their residents with timely responses to inquiries and more transparent communications across multiple platforms, like social media and email newsletters.

I was a resident that voted “yes” to the idea of creating Anderson Mill Limited District in 2009. I would like for our neighborhood to go back to this original agreement with the City.

Improve Our Services

The original trash contract that was signed by the board was not a good fit for the neighborhood. I want the AMLD to revisit this contract to improve our recycling and composting options.

Activities For Our Teens

We have neighborhood events and programs for all ages and groups except for our pre-teens and teenagers. I would like to create  programs that are designed especially for them.

A Voice For Our Villages

AMLD is divided into 31 Villages. I want to have a community committee that helps represent these different villages so everyone has a voice.
