October 10 AMLD Board Meeting
Greetings Neighbors!
As we settle into the fall season, it's wonderful to see our community come together. This time of year brings not only festivities, but also an opportunity for reflection and growth within our neighborhood. It was wonderful to see some of you at our recent October board meeting. Here is a recap of the important items we discussed for those who were unable to attend.
District Manager Update
We granted Rick Ramos, our new District Manager signatory authority and appointed him as investment officer.
Amendment to Notice for Purchasers
We approved an amendment to the Notice to Purchasers to reflect the new tax rate for the year.
Professional Dress Code Amendment
This amendment is to establish a more defined professional dress code for district employees. This dress code is designed to foster a sense of professionalism, ensuring that staff members represent the district with consistency and pride. The new guidelines will reflect our commitment to creating a respectful, business-like environment that aligns with our community’s values and expectations.
Parking Assistance for Purple Sage Elementary
Purple Sage Elementary has requested help with more parking for staff due to recent changes on El Salido. AMLD will be trialing this partnership with PSE, while ensuring it does not conflict with district activities. However, parking will not be permitted during voting periods.
AMNA Tree Proposal
The Anderson Mill Neighborhood Association has been working closely with our board since the start of the summer to get a tree proposal in place. We are thrilled to announce that it has finally passed! This partnership is a significant step toward adding more shade to our parks and trails, making them more enjoyable for all residents. AMNA is now applying for a grant to help fund the planting of these trees. We are very excited about this collaboration and the opportunity to create a greener, more sustainable neighborhood. Please check out AMNA for more information about the tree initiative and how you can get involved!
