November 7 AMLD Board Meeting
Greetings Neighbors!
I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the wonderful community that we have here. Thanksgiving reminds us of the importance of coming together, and I am thankful for everyone who continues to contribute their time, ideas, and energy to help make our neighborhood a better place. It’s your involvement that truly makes our community thrive.
Community Comments
At our most recent AMLD board meeting on November 7, we had a resident share valuable insights on how our committees can function more effectively in our community. He emphasized the importance of committees in streamlining the work that needs to be done and highlighted how community members can significantly contribute to these efforts by adding their perspectives and skills. He also had an insightful information on the proper use of the gavel during meetings to maintain order and ensure productive discussions.
Board of Directors Place 5 Vacancy
We discussed the current vacancy on the Board of Directors and confirmed that the application details are posted on our website. We’ve set a November 30 deadline for submitting application letters, and encourage anyone interested to apply by this date.We invite you to apply and join us in making a positive impact on our wonderful neighborhood!
Anderson Mill Limited District currently has a vacant position on its Board of Directors (“Board”). The Board will appoint a new director to serve the remainder of the term for that position. Interested residents may submit a resume and a letter of interest indicating why they want to serve on the Board and what skills, talents or experience they have. The Board especially hopes to find candidates with financial and/or technology backgrounds who can contribute immediately to initiatives and strategic plans that are under discussion. The Board will review all candidates’ submissions and select one who must be confirmed by a majority vote.

AMLD Committees
After thoughtful discussion, we finalized the committees for our neighborhood and outlined their specific roles and functions. We are excited about how these committees will help move our district forward and tackle key initiatives.
Community Member Involvement in Committees
We are actively working on a framework to allow more community members to join certain committees. This initiative aims to tap into the diverse skills and ideas within our neighborhood, and we look forward to finalizing the application process. We discussed in depth how these volunteers will help make our neighborhood stronger and more connected. I’ll keep you updated as this framework develops and how you can apply.
Strategic Priorities for 2024-2025
As part of our ongoing efforts to shape the future of our community, we’ve aligned our committees and goals with our focused strategic priorities for the upcoming year.
