January 16th AMLD Board Meeting and February 4th Town Hall

Greetings Neighbors!

Our January 16th meeting was long but incredibly productive. A few residents stayed with us all the way through to the end of the evening, which wrapped up after 10 p.m. Thank you all for your patience and dedication as we work to serve the district.

Board Vacancy

It was an honor to interview four outstanding candidates for the Board of Directors, Place 5. With so many fantastic candidates, it was a tough decision. I hope you’ll be able to attend tomorrow night’s meeting to witness Trevor Mazer being sworn in as the newest member of the board.

Investment Institutions

The board has approved a move to US Bank for our investment accounts. This change will result in an annual savings of approximately $5K for the district. We're excited about the financial benefits this decision will bring.

Spring and Summer Guide

The board carefully reviewed the pricing for our Spring and Summer Guide. We evaluated our program, event, and facility rates against other local offerings to maintain competitiveness. The guide will be arriving at your home very soon, and we hope you’ll find it useful. We’re excited to share the product of our hard work with you!

Town Hall

It was wonderful to see so many of you at our February Town Hall! We had about 60 residents attend, and we were thrilled to host community partners such as AMNA, 183 Mobility Project, Williamson County Sheriff Department and Krista Laine’s Office from District 6 of the City of Austin. Our staff was on hand to address your questions and concerns regarding aquatics, maintenance, district offices, programs, and events. It was a magical evening full of great conversations and community building. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Community in Committees

We’re excited to open up new opportunities for community members to join the Parks & Landscaping Committee, Community Engagement Committee, Communications Committee, and the Architectural Control Committee! This new initiative invites residents to apply to one committee for a one-year term and work alongside the board to drive positive change that meets our community’s needs. Below are the descriptions of each committee's focus and responsibilities. With 1-3 spots available per committee, apply today to join our collaborative efforts and help make a difference in our neighborhood!
